At school, she excelled in sports, academics, and leadership, even being elected head girl of her high school. Benita’s love for the stage and singing was always a part of who she is. She eagerly sang at school functions and participated in drama.

Her passion for singing was further developed under the mentorship of Anton Botha, who took her under his musical wing and introduced her to music and the industry. Benita was privileged to perform alongside Anton on various occasions even during her school years.

Practical exposure to the stage, sound, and the art of singing in front of a live audience is something every artist must continuously grow and develop in. Under Anton’s guidance, she learned to respect the industry and to always embrace her singing talent with appreciation and humility.

Benita decided in high school that singing would be her career. It is what makes her heart happy—sharing her story with people, and in the process, she hopes to bring meaning to others by allowing them to experience their own life stories through the songs she writes and sings.

Her first single, “Suiwer Whiskey”, tells the story of a broken heart—being alone with many questions and working through the pain in your own way.

In 2025, Benita officially entered the music industry and is excited to embark on her singing career with Harmony House Records, which has many exciting new songs, performances, and surprises planned.

Benita is also a full-time drama student at Pali Incubation, where she receives incredible training and exposure both in front of and behind the camera.

Keep an eye on Benita—she is a talented new artist who will captivate audiences, big and small, across various platforms with her musical and dramatic talents.
